Welcoming February: Intentions in Progress
Clear the clutter within before making room for your intentions and goals.
As we move through the end of January, I’m choosing to reflect on what I can let go of, rather than rushing into resolutions. This has been a season of rest and reflection, and I’m embracing the idea that healing and growth take time. Before setting new intentions, I’ve found that releasing old mindsets, habits, and unrealistic expectations is key.
I’ve started small: organizing my space {{life}}, journaling about what no longer serves me, and rethinking my relationship with rest and who/what I surround myself with. It’s not about doing it all at once—just simple, meaningful shifts that help clear the way for the year ahead.
So, if you’re feeling the same pull to reset, here are a few suggestions that have worked for me:
Reevaluate relationships that may no longer serve you. Take note of who truly supports your growth, and consider how to maintain healthy boundaries while respecting their path too.
Replace one unhelpful habit with a positive one. For example, swap late-night scrolling for a short bedtime meditation or replace a self-critical thought with an encouraging one.
Practice saying “no” to commitments that don’t align with your current goals. By gracefully declining, you’re showing yourself—and others—respect for your time and energy.
By starting with small, intentional changes, we can create the space we need to welcome in something new. It’s a gentle reminder to be kind to yourself and to focus on progress, not perfection.
