Sunday Notes: There's Something There...
A Sunday journaling guide for the idea that's living in the back of your head that you just can't quite pin down yet
You know that feeling. There’s something there. You can feel it hovering around... a thought, an idea, a pull toward something. But every time you try to grab it and look at it directly it kind of slips away. So you just keep carrying it around, half formed, waiting for it to make sense.
That’s what we’re journaling on today. But before we dive in, I wanted to give you a little heads up. This is the last free Sunday Notes. Starting July 1st, Sunday Notes moves to paid subscribers only and I wanted to make sure this one was worth showing up for. If you’ve been enjoying these and want to keep journaling alog with me every Sunday, you can upgrade your subscription below. 🧡
Ok, back to the idea that’s been living rent free in your head. This isn’t about having it all figured out or knowing where it’s going. This is just about getting it out of your head and onto the page so it has somewhere to land. Sometimes an idea just needs a little room to breathe. Let’s give it that.
First, let’s just get it out.
Write without editing. Don’t worry about it making sense yet.
Describe the feeling of this idea as best as you can. What does it feel like in your body when it comes up? Excited? Restless? Like something unfinished?
If this idea were a place, what would it look like? What’s the vibe of it?
Finish this sentence without thinking too hard: “I keep coming back to the idea of...”
Now let’s poke at it a little.
What is this idea connected to? A feeling you want more of, something you’ve been missing, something you want to create or change?
Have you had a version of this idea before? What happened to it?
If you told one trusted person about this idea right now, what’s the one sentence you’d use?
And the big one.
What would have to be true for this idea to actually become something real? What’s the first tiny step that would feel like honouring it?
You don’t have to have it figured out today. That’s not the point. The point is to stop letting it live rent free in your head and start giving it a little more shape. Even just a little. 🧡
