Sunday Notes: The Friendship Audit
A Sunday journaling guide on the friendships that feed you and the ones that might just need a pause
Over the last year I’ve done a lot of slowing down. And when you slow down enough to actually look at your life, you start noticing things. One of the things I noticed was my friendships and how some of them felt really good and some of them just... didn’t anymore.
And I want to be clear, this isn’t about cutting people off or deciding someone is a bad person. It’s more like I started to understand that people come into your life for different reasons and different seasons. You know that saying about how some people are on the train for the whole ride and some are just there until their stop? I think about that a lot. It doesn’t mean the ones who get off early didn’t matter. It just means the ride looks different than you expected.
So that’s what we’re journaling on today. Not to audit your friendships in a cold, clinical way but to get honest about which ones are actually feeding you right now and which ones might just need a natural pause.
